Role overview

Senior ServiceNow Consultant / Developer role leading architecture, design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise ServiceNow solutions.

The role focuses on ITSM, ITOM, CMDB/CSDM, workflow automation, integrations, and platform governance.

The description identifies the position as remote and gives a compensation range of CAD 70 to CAD 80 per hour for Canada-based positions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead ServiceNow architecture, solution design, technical delivery, and development standards.
  • Develop applications using Flow Designer, Workflows, Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Policies, and Service Portal Widgets.
  • Implement ITSM modules and support ITOM, Discovery, CMDB, infrastructure visibility, and CSDM-aligned governance.
  • Build REST/SOAP and MID Server integrations; automate processes using IntegrationHub, Orchestration, and ETL.
  • Integrate with enterprise platforms including SAP, Azure, Workday, SailPoint, SCCM, Salesforce, Intune, and MobileIron.
  • Manage data migrations and transformations; maintain data integrity and synchronization.
  • Monitor platform performance and compliance and troubleshoot technical, automation, and integration issues.
  • Mentor development teams, collaborate with stakeholders, support strategic improvement, and produce technical documentation.

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development and administration experience.
  • 5+ years implementing enterprise ITSM and ITOM solutions and 5+ years of CMDB architecture and CSDM alignment experience.
  • Experience in enterprise-scale environments.
  • Technical experience with ServiceNow development, JavaScript, Glide APIs, Service Portal, REST/SOAP, IntegrationHub ETL, SQL, HTML5, XML, and CSS3.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, analytical, troubleshooting, collaboration, and mentoring capabilities.

Preferred qualifications

  • A master's degree or postgraduate qualification is preferred.
  • Python scripting and experience with enterprise workflow automation are preferred.
  • Knowledge of ITIL and ITBM, cloud and identity platforms, or large-scale digital transformation is preferred.
  • Listed preferred certifications include CSA, CAD, implementation specialist certifications, and CTA.

Compensation

  • For Canada-based positions, the starting pay range is CAD 70 to CAD 80 per hour. Actual compensation depends on work location, experience, technical skills, and qualifications.
