NTT DATA is hiring an AI Solution Architect/FDE (AWS and Azure) in Toronto, Ontario.
The role leads AI and machine learning initiatives, architects solutions, mentors teams, and translates technical work into business value.
Responsibilities
- Lead AI/ML R&D for financial-services applications, including document intelligence and automated decisioning.
- Architect end-to-end AI solutions from model design to scalable deployment; experiment with RAG, multi-agent systems, and transformer architectures.
- Establish and maintain deployment pipelines for AI model implementation and monitoring.
- Lead complex AI projects from conception to production, including architecture, system design, roadmaps, load planning, and optimization.
- Coordinate ML engineers, backend developers, data scientists, and business stakeholders; integrate prototypes into production.
- Mentor junior engineers, teach AI/ML concepts and applications, and guide algorithm selection, model evaluation, and technical best practices.
- Support professional development through code reviews, technical writing, and knowledge sharing.
Required qualifications
- Expert-level Python proficiency; experience with JavaScript, SQL, and web technologies.
- Experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras, Hugging Face Transformers, and LangChain.
- Experience with FastAPI, Django, Flask, and RESTful API design and development.
- Experience with PostgreSQL, data processing pipelines, and ETL processes.
- Experience with NLP, computer vision, RAG, and multi-agent systems.
- 10+ years of professional software development or relevant research experience with a strong Python background.
- 3+ years of hands-on AI/ML engineering experience in production environments.
- Proven experience leading technical teams and complex AI projects, plus full-stack development and system integration.
- Background in mentoring and developing technical talent.
Preferred qualifications and competencies
- Preferred: AI/ML publications or research contributions; financial-services or regulated-industry experience; document processing, PDF parsing, and text extraction; prompt engineering and large language model optimization.
- Key competencies include analytical problem-solving, communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders, independent and collaborative work, strategic business-impact thinking, and continuous learning.
