Field Service Representative supporting advanced naval sonar systems in a maritime defence environment.

Technical maintenance
- Diagnose complex sonar faults, perform root-cause analysis, and use diagnostic software, test equipment, and maintenance documentation to resolve issues.
- Recommend system performance improvements and carry out planned preventive maintenance according to approved schedules and procedures.
- Perform corrective maintenance, component replacement, repair, testing, and recommissioning; restore equipment to operational capability and escalate issues requiring specialist support.
- Support lifecycle management, engineering support plans, technical investigations, reliability assessments, and continuous improvement.
Records, inventory, and compliance
- Maintain records of maintenance, defects, repairs, and technical interventions; provide regular reports and updates to management and customer stakeholders.
- Control maintenance inventory and spare parts, track consumption, and identify critical spare requirements for replenishment planning.
- Follow company procedures, quality standards, safety regulations, and site-specific health, safety, and environmental requirements; support audits and inspections.
Stakeholder support
- Act as a technical interface between operational personnel, engineering teams, and maintenance management.
- Build effective working relationships in a multicultural, multidisciplinary environment and provide professional technical support to customers.
Essential qualifications
- Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of sonar systems, particularly towed-array or variable-depth sonar technologies.
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting, maintaining, repairing, and testing sonar equipment and associated subsystems.
- Proficiency with diagnostic software, calibration tools, and electronic test equipment; experience supporting complex defence, naval, maritime, or mission-critical systems.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Desirable qualifications
- Previous experience supporting naval sonar operations in an operational or military environment.
- Knowledge of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) and through-life support activities.
- Experience working with multinational teams and in customer-facing support environments.
- Former military technical or naval engineering experience is advantageous.
