About This Role
Responsibilities
- Conduct keyword research: Identify relevant keywords and search terms that align with the target audience and business goals. Use keyword research tools to discover high-ranking and high-converting keywords.
- On-page optimization: Optimize website content, metadata, headings, and internal linking structure to improve organic search visibility. Ensure proper keyword placement, content relevance, and readability.
- Off-page optimization: Develop and implement strategies to acquire high-quality backlinks from authoritative websites. Build relationships with influencers, bloggers, and industry publications to earn relevant and valuable backlinks.
- Technical SEO: Conduct website audits to identify technical issues that may impact search engine crawling and indexing. Implement technical optimizations such as XML sitemaps, robots.txt files, canonical tags, and structured data markup.
- Monitor website performance: Use web analytics tools (such as Google Analytics) to track website traffic, user behavior, and conversions. Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven recommendations.
- Content optimization: Collaborate with content creators to develop SEO-friendly content. Ensure content is optimized for target keywords, user intent, and search engine algorithms. Provide guidance on content structure, formatting, and keyword usage.
- Stay updated with search engine algorithms: Keep up-to-date with the latest changes in search engine algorithms and industry best practices. Understand the impact of algorithm updates and adjust SEO strategies accordingly.
- Competitive analysis: Conduct competitive analysis to identify opportunities and challenges in the search landscape. Analyze competitor websites, keywords, and backlink profiles to develop effective SEO strategies.
- Reporting and communication: Prepare and present SEO reports to stakeholders, highlighting key metrics, progress, and recommendations. Communicate SEO strategies, goals, and results to cross-functional teams and management.
Requirements
- Bachelor s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience as an SEO Specialist or in a similar role.
- Deep understanding of search engine algorithms, ranking factors, and SEO best practices.
- Familiarity with SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, keyword research tools, and backlink analysis tools.
- Knowledge of on-page and off-page optimization techniques, including keyword research, meta tags, content optimization, link building, and technical SEO.
- Proficiency in website analytics and data interpretation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Up-to-date with the latest SEO trends, techniques, and industry changes.
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and basic web development concepts is a plus.
- SEO certifications (such as Google Analytics or Google Ads certifications) are advantageous.
