Senior Technical Product Manager - Keet (100% Remote)

About Keet and the role

Vision and technical product leadership

• Own the long-term product vision, analyze competitors, define a roadmap around P2P advantages, and present strategy and progress to executives and the board.
• Set measurable acquisition, activation, retention, and virality goals.
• Develop a working understanding of Pear, Bare, Hypercore, Hyperswarm, HyperDHT, Autobase, and Hyperbee.
• Partner with engineering on NAT traversal, offline sync, multi-device support, large groups, notifications, and mobile efficiency.
• Own calling and screen-sharing quality and define clear stable and experimental feature tiers.

Execution and distribution

• Lead product team sprint planning, prioritization, standups, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Own features from concept through release, testing, and post-launch iteration; keep issue trackers and roadmaps current.
• Coordinate engineering, QA, design, marketing, business stakeholders, and cross-team dependencies.
• Manage iOS and Android releases and app store submissions; oversee desktop installers for macOS, Windows, and Linux.
• Build privacy-preserving crash reporting, debugging, and analytics systems.

Rapid prototyping

• Use AI coding and design tools to build working prototypes and demos within days to validate product concepts.

Mandatory qualifications

• 8+ years of product management experience, including significant senior or lead experience owning a consumer product end to end.
• A record of setting product vision and delivering measurable outcomes for products with tens of millions of users or more.
• Experience leading engineers, cross-functional teams, and predictable sprint delivery.
• Deep JavaScript and React skills, with ability to write production code, review pull requests, and prototype.
• Ability to reason about distributed and local-first systems, synchronization, offline behavior, and consistency.
• Experience shipping and scaling iOS and Android apps, including app store review and release management.
• Experience with real-time voice and video products and their quality, latency, and reliability trade-offs.
• Demonstrated rapid prototyping with AI tools; strong board/executive communication; excellent written and spoken English.

Desirable qualifications

• Product leadership at a major messaging app; P2P, distributed systems, decentralized protocols, or Holepunch, Pear, or Hypercore experience.
• Experience growing products across emerging markets, regions, or languages, or in privacy, encryption, or security-focused products.
• Familiarity with Electron, React Native, installer systems, Linux packaging, testing and automation, Git, issue trackers, or collaboration tools.
• An engineering background or computer science degree.
