Head of Financial Infrastructure Expansion (Digital assets expertise)

Role overview

Business development and solution structuring

• Identify strategic opportunities with financial institutions, fintechs, payment companies, telcos, retailers, and large enterprises around the world.
• Understand customer needs and design tailored solutions using the broader Tether ecosystem.
• Combine stablecoins, wallets, tokenization, payments, and other products into commercial propositions.
• Originate, structure, negotiate, and close high-value strategic partnerships and deployments.
• Develop relationships with CEOs, CFOs, CTOs, banking executives, treasury leaders, payment teams, and other senior stakeholders.

Coordination and execution

• Bridge customers and external implementation partners with internal product and business teams.
• Bring together capabilities and stakeholders to design and execute complex multi-product projects.
• Translate market and customer requirements into actionable opportunities for internal teams.
• Own strategic projects from engagement through structuring, execution, and scale, and monitor post-implementation success using KPIs.

Market strategy and leadership

• Define priority markets, industries, partners, and financial infrastructure use cases, and manage a global strategic opportunity pipeline.
• Build and lead the global Financial Infrastructure Expansion team.
• Establish KPIs, execution playbooks, and commercial processes, and work with regional Expansion teams to accelerate opportunities.
• Identify implementation partners to support successful project execution.

Strategic representation

• Position Tether as a strategic partner for organizations building next-generation financial products and infrastructure.
• Represent Tether in strategic meetings with enterprises, financial institutions, governments, regulators, and industry leaders.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in banking, payments, fintech, financial infrastructure, or technology business development.
• Strong understanding of payments, digital assets, wallets, tokenization, settlement, and financial infrastructure.
• Ability to translate complex customer needs into multi-product solutions and personal experience originating, structuring, and closing large strategic partnerships.
• Strong senior decision-maker relationships across banks, financial institutions, fintechs, telcos, and large enterprises.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, with ability to work across product, technical, commercial, legal, and regulatory teams.
• Entrepreneurial mindset and experience building and managing high-performing teams.
