About Mace and the project

Mace combines construction expertise with consultancy and describes its values as central to how it consults and selects people.

The role is for one of Saudi Arabia's largest programmes, a mixed-use development with sports facilities, entertainment, arts, and associated infrastructure.

Mace is a delivery partner seeking experienced professionals to lead integrated teams through project phases.

Role responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver annual business-plan outcomes within agreed deadlines and budget requirements.
  • Lead and manage technical resources for solid-waste infrastructure delivery aligned with programme objectives.
  • Present management-review data, technical-performance metrics, and KPIs to project and functional leadership.
  • Support business development, work-winning, market engagement, technical training, and capability development.
  • Ensure compliance with management systems, project governance, regulations, and defined responsibilities.
  • Act as the primary focal point for solid-waste management and improve strategies, standards, delivery plans, tools, and operational processes.
  • Coordinate technical input for waste collection, transfer, treatment, recycling, resource recovery, waste-to-energy, and disposal infrastructure.
  • Influence procurement, contractual, and commercial matters and coordinate integrated delivery with PMO and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Promote technical excellence, innovation, circular-economy principles, and industry best practices.
  • Support net-zero objectives through waste minimization, resource recovery, recycling, and carbon-reduction initiatives across the project lifecycle.

Qualifications and experience

  • Degree-level education in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, Waste Management, or a related discipline, or equivalent.
  • Extensive experience in solid-waste management, waste-infrastructure planning, design, delivery, operations, or consultancy.
  • Strong understanding of integrated waste systems, recycling, resource recovery, waste-treatment technologies, and sustainability principles.
  • Proven stakeholder management, technical leadership, and multidisciplinary project coordination.

Working environment and values

  • Mace emphasizes safety, wellbeing, diversity, inclusion, client focus, integrity, compliance, opportunity, and continuous improvement.
  • Mace welcomes interest from diverse candidates and notes that applicants who do not meet every criterion may be suitable for this or another role.

Work arrangements

  • Part-time, flexible, and hybrid working options may be discussed if suitable for the role.
