Senior Technical Consultant – Oracle EBS

About This Role

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Oracle EBS Technical Consultant with Oracle APEX expertise to support development, enhancement, integration, and reporting requirements across Oracle E-Business Suite environments. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in Oracle EBS R12 technical stack along with modern application development using Oracle APEX for workflow automation, dashboards, self-service portals, and custom business solutions.

The candidate should be capable of working independently with functional teams and business users to design scalable solutions integrated with Oracle EBS.

Required Skills

Technical Skills

• Oracle EBS R12 architecture knowledge
• Strong PL/SQL coding skills
• Oracle Forms personalization/customization
• BI/XML Publisher reports
• Oracle APEX development (version 20.x / 21.x / latest preferred)
• JavaScript / HTML / CSS (for APEX UI enhancement)
• Unix shell scripting (preferred)
• Performance tuning skills

Oracle EBS Modules Exposure

Good understanding of technical objects in:

• Financials (GL/AP/AR/FA/CM)
• SCM / Procurement
• HRMS / Payroll (preferred)
• Projects / Manufacturing (added advantage)

Preferred Experience

• Oracle APEX integrated with Oracle EBS
• Approval workflows in APEX
• Dashboards for finance / operations
• Oracle Cloud migration exposure
• OAF personalization/customization
• Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) exposure

Soft Skills

• Strong analytical and debugging skills
• Good communication with users and functional consultants
• Documentation skills (MD070 / Technical Specs)
• Ability to manage multiple priorities

Qualifications

• B.Tech / BE / MCA / Computer Science / IT
• Oracle certifications preferred

Experience Required

• 8+ years Oracle EBS Technical experience
• 2+ years Oracle APEX hands-on development preferred
• Full lifecycle implementation/support experience

• Develop and support Oracle EBS customizations, extensions, and interfaces.
• Strong hands-on experience in:

• Workflow Builder
• Alerts
• AOL / System Administrator setups
• Concurrent Programs
• Interface development

Oracle APEX Development

• Design and develop custom applications using Oracle APEX.
• Build:
• Approval workflow apps
• Dashboards & MIS reports
• Employee / Vendor self-service portals
• Data upload screens
• Exception management systems
• Operational tracking tools
• Integrate APEX with Oracle EBS database objects and APIs.

Integration & APIs

• Develop interfaces between Oracle EBS and third-party systems.
• Work on:
• Open Interfaces
• Public APIs
• REST / SOAP Services
• Web ADI / Data Uploads
• File-based integrations

Reporting

• Develop operational and management reports using:
• BI Publisher
• XML Reports
• APEX Interactive Reports
• SQL Reports

Support & Maintenance

• Troubleshoot production issues and resolve defects.
• Perform root cause analysis.
• Support patch testing and regression testing.
• Handle migrations across DEV / TEST / PROD.
