Role overview

Infrastructure delivery

• Design and configure servers, storage, backup, and virtualization; deploy HPE/Dell blade servers and VMware, Hyper-V, or Nutanix platforms.
• Implement SAN/NAS zoning, provisioning, replication, and snapshots; deploy backup and DR with retention, immutability, and offsite/cloud copies.
• Plan and execute data-centre, server, storage, workload, P2V/V2V, and Windows Server/Active Directory migrations with minimal downtime.
• Prepare migration plans, deployment methods, cutover runbooks, and rollback plans; migrate on-prem workloads to Azure, AWS, or UAE cloud and Exchange to Microsoft 365.
• Design hybrid infrastructure, cloud backup and DR, identity, and site-to-site connectivity.
• Provide L3 incident support and root-cause analysis; perform preventive maintenance and health checks; maintain project records and reports.
• Support presales solution design, BoQ/SOW inputs, and estimates; coordinate with customers, vendors, and project managers on scope, timelines, and acceptance.

Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or Engineering.
• 10+ years in systems infrastructure, including at least 5 years hands-on in deployment and migration projects.
• Proven end-to-end delivery of data-centre, server, storage, backup, and cloud migrations.
• Required technical skills include server platforms, Windows Server, Linux, VMware, Hyper-V, SAN/NAS, backup and DR, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Azure or AWS, and PowerShell.
• Strong documentation skills covering HLD/LLD, deployment and migration plans, and as-built reports.
• UAE/GCC system-integrator or managed-services experience is desired.

Desired certifications and skills

• Desired certifications include Microsoft Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate or MCSE; VMware VCP-DCV (VCAP is an advantage); Azure AZ-104 or AWS Solutions Architect Associate.
• Veeam, Commvault, Veritas, Zerto, HPE, Dell EMC, and ITIL certifications are desired.
• Nutanix AHV, VMware HCX, Pure Storage, HPE Alletra, Commvault, Veritas, Zerto, Intune, UAE cloud platforms, Ansible, and Terraform are desired.
• A UAE driving licence and willingness to carry out out-of-hours cutovers are desired.
