Senior Supervisor- Structural Steel Fabrication

Role and location

Salary

• Pay is AED 4,000 to AED 5,000 per month.

Qualifications and experience

• A completed diploma in mechanical engineering is required.
• The description calls for more than 8 years of Gulf experience as a steel structural fabrication supervisor.
• Relevant experience includes fabrication, welding activities, and quality control on construction projects.
• A bachelor's degree and 3 years of UAE experience are listed as preferred.

Languages

Fabrication and quality

• Plan and monitor fabrication sequencing against codes, standards, approved procedures, current IFC drawings, specifications, and correct materials.
• Fabricate to drawings and client specifications; arrange QC and third-party inspections after fit-up according to the approved ITP.
• Archive cutting lists, bills of materials, weld cards, consumables records, and other fabrication and welding documentation.
• Coordinate with safety and QA/QC inspectors, follow recommendations, and comply with company HSE policy and safety rules.
• Oversee structural steel fabrication and erection, construction activities, schedules, field supervision, and coordination with other disciplines.
• Coordinate fabrication and erection inspection techniques against applicable standards.

Shop supervision and delivery

• Collect production jobs, review drawings for corrections, and plan efficient work methods and locations.
• Allocate skilled workers and arrange suitable materials and equipment.
• Check layouts and markings; supervise safe overhead-crane maneuvering of materials.
• Offer completed jobs to quality control for approval and provide feedback to the supervisor.
• Supervise and distribute work among more than 100 employees.
• Check drawing and material availability to keep work moving, including pipeline and vessel fabrication.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports.
