Role overview
Oversee steel structure erection and installation for overground metro stations, including platforms, concourses, foot overbridges, and roofing systems.
Ensure structural integrity, quality, and compliance with standards during construction.
Responsibilities
- Supervise steel structure erection and installation at metro stations.
- Ensure work follows approved drawings, specifications, and codes including IS, IRC, and Eurocode.
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and internal teams to resolve site technical issues.
- Monitor progress, quality, and safety compliance.
- Inspect structural work and report non-conformities and corrective actions.
- Review shop drawings, method statements, and material submittals.
- Coordinate site-related design modifications and clarifications with design teams.
- Maintain inspection, approval, and quality records.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in civil or structural engineering.
- 15+ years of experience in building projects.
- Strong knowledge of steel fabrication, welding, bolting, and erection techniques.
- Familiarity with structural drawings, connection detailing, and construction sequencing.
- Proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD; BIM tools are a plus.
- Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
