About This Role
Job Purpose
The Senior Specialist – Enterprise Risk Management and BCM responsibility is to proactively safeguard the organization by identifying, assessing, monitoring and reporting risks that could impede the achievement of the company’s objectives, facilitate establishing a robust risk management framework that is aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
Job Accountabilities
- Conduct regular risk assessments to identify current and emerging risks across all areas of the organization.
- Implement, and maintain comprehensive risk management policies and procedures. Assist in defining the company’s risk appetite, key risk indicators (KRIs), and risk tolerance thresholds.
- Facilitate risk workshops and interviews with business units to gather risk data and understand mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to design and implement effective risk mitigation strategies. Monitor the effectiveness of risk control measures and recommend improvements as necessary. · Work closely with various departments (e.g., Finance, Operations, IT, Compliance) to integrate risk management practices into their processes.
- Maintain the risk register and ensure timely updates and accurate risk ratings.
- Assist in the evaluation of the effectiveness of the risk management framework and make recommendations for enhancements.
- Update detailed records of all business continuity activities, tests, and modifications to plans.
- Support conducting enterprise-level Business Impact Analyses (BIAs) to identify critical functions, recovery priorities, and resource dependencies.
- Schedule, and evaluate periodic BCM drills, tabletop exercises, and scenario testing to validate readiness and improve resilience.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Risk Management, or equivalent. Certifications in Risk Management, Professional Risk Manager (PRM or Certified Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC).
- A minimum of 4 – 6 years of experience in the same or similar field.
