AWS Global Sales supports customer adoption of AWS cloud services through tailored technical solutions.
The Senior Solutions Architect advises enterprise and strategic customers in Jeddah and western Saudi Arabia.
The role supports modernization, AI and cloud-native architecture adoption, and customer digital transformation.
Key responsibilities
- Drive customer success and trust through adoption of AWS services and well-architected solutions.
- Advise enterprise customers in Jeddah and western Saudi Arabia and influence their technology strategies.
- Lead architectural discussions, explain AWS value, and support migrations from competing cloud providers.
- Conduct customer enablement sessions, including Dev Days, Immersion Days, workshops, and GameDays.
- Share best practices and contribute white papers, blog posts, and reference architectures.
- Connect customers with AWS Service Teams and Support, gather product feedback, and drive feature requests.
- Mentor regional Solutions Architects.
- Prepare architecture proposals and advise on cloud modernization, microservices, AI/ML, data, and containers.
- Work with account teams on technical win plans and coordinate specialist or Professional Services support.
- Lead hands-on workshops on Bedrock, generative AI patterns, and EKS container modernization.
Required experience and skills
- 8+ years in a technology domain such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, or data and analytics.
- 3+ years designing, implementing, or consulting on applications and infrastructure.
- 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries.
- Knowledge of cloud architecture and 5+ years in infrastructure architecture, database architecture, and networking.
- Experience working with end-user or developer communities and in a technical role within a sales organization.
- Experience presenting to executives, IT professionals, management, and developers.
- Experience designing or advising on AI/ML workloads, including training, inference, and cloud deployment.
- Experience with generative AI concepts and enterprise applications such as foundation models, RAG, AI agents, or prompt engineering.
Preferred experience
- Experience architecting data pipelines and platforms for AI/ML workloads is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with SageMaker, Bedrock, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face, or equivalent cloud AI platforms is preferred.
