About This Role

Join the Core Banking Platform team delivering enterprise capabilities for customer account ledger and transaction processing.

In This Role

  • Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments.
  • Contribute to large-scale strategy planning.
  • Design, code, test, debug, and document projects and programs, including upgrades and deployments.
  • Review moderately complex technical challenges requiring in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures.
  • Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing or potential client needs.
  • Collaborate with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals.
  • Lead projects, act as an escalation point, and provide guidance to less experienced staff.

Required Qualifications

  • 4+ years of software engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.

Desired Qualifications

  • Java and Java Spring Boot framework experience.
  • Low-latency systems development or implementation experience.
  • Multicast messaging framework development experience.
  • Multithreading and distributed caching experience.
  • Experience building scalable streaming and real-time data processing solutions using Kafka or Flink.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines such as EPLX or Harness.
  • Experience with Kubernetes containerization such as OpenShift.
  • Experience building microservices and using design patterns.
  • Knowledge of relational databases and document databases.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with developers, operations teams, and stakeholders.

Job Expectations

  • Experience working in the banking domain.
  • Experience with GitHub Copilot.
  • Test automation experience using Karate.
  • Experience with observability tools such as Grafana, Splunk, or AppDynamics.
  • Experience with large-volume data processing and tools including Apache Spark, SQL, Scala, and Hadoop.
  • Experience with Agile Scrum ceremonies including standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.

Risk and Compliance

Follow applicable risk programs, policies, procedures, compliance obligations, issue escalation, and remediation requirements.

Support proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification, and sound risk decisions aligned with business risk appetite.
