Senior Software Engineer - Java Full Stack

Role overview

What you will do

• Lead moderately complex initiatives and contribute to large-scale technical planning.
• Design, code, test, debug, and document technology projects and programs, including upgrades and deployments.
• Evaluate technical challenges, resolve issues, and help teams meet client needs.
• Lead projects, serve as an escalation point, and guide less experienced staff.
• Contribute to end-to-end product and application development, analyze complex requirements, and write technical specifications.
• Develop complex code and provide coding direction to junior team members.
• Collaborate across functions to build scalable cloud-native solutions and improve system resiliency.
• Follow applicable risk and compliance obligations, policies, monitoring, escalation, and remediation practices.

Required qualification

• At least 4 years of software engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.

Desired qualifications and technologies

• Cloud technologies such as OpenShift or PCF; web UI and server technologies such as Angular or React, Spring Framework, JDBC, and JavaBeans.
• Java services, Spring Boot, RESTful services, microservices, Spring or EJB, and Oracle or SQL Server.
• JUnit or TestNG, Selenium, test automation, event-driven architectures, and high-availability design.
• Autosys or similar orchestration tools, REST APIs, object storage, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Object-oriented design, Java patterns and practices, Agile software development, and DevOps practices.
