Join Amazon's Data Integration organization and APEX team to develop AI-driven data integration capabilities.
Build algorithms that simplify authoring, troubleshooting, upgrading, and optimizing data integration workflows.
The role combines AI infrastructure and product development.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement AI/ML-powered products for data integration workflows.
- Build and own critical infrastructure for next-generation AI capabilities.
- Collaborate with data scientists and ML experts to productionize ideas.
- Optimize algorithms and systems for performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Contribute from software conception through production deployment.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote development and AI implementation best practices.
Basic qualifications
- At least 5 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 5 years of programming experience with at least one software programming language.
- At least 5 years leading design or architecture of new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or engineering team lead.
Preferred qualifications
- At least 5 years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, reviews, source control, builds, testing, and operations.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
Compensation
- The stated base salary ranges are USD 193,300–261,500 annually in East Palo Alto, California, and USD 184,900–250,200 annually in New York, New York.
- Compensation may include sign-on payments and restricted stock units; final compensation depends on experience, qualifications, and location.
