Join IBM Software's Product Security Access Management team to build secure access solutions for the organization and its customers.
The role focuses on secure, frictionless access management across product, engineering, and security functions.
Your role and responsibilities
- Design and implement access management primitives for users and service accounts.
- Build scalable authorization methods such as RBAC, ABAC, and other policy models.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and security teams on access solutions.
What you will do
- Independently drive project execution and deploy work to production with a focus on quality and customer impact.
- Collaborate with a high-performing team and cross-functional partners on decisions that benefit the team and company.
- Troubleshoot complex issues spanning all cloud environments and perform root cause analysis.
- Improve operations for complex problems across cloud environments.
- Produce clean, well-documented, maintainable code aligned with team standards and security best practices.
- Address challenging customer problems and deliver customer value.
Required technical and professional expertise
- 3+ years of relevant software, product, and/or security engineering experience.
- Strong fundamentals in distributed systems design and development.
- Experience building and operating large-scale systems in the cloud.
- Solid understanding of disk, network, operating systems, and related systems operations.
- Proficiency in Java, Scala, C/C++, Go, or another statically typed language.
Preferred education and experience
- A master's degree is preferred.
- Experience across frontend and backend stacks is preferred.
- Experience in security, identity, and access management is preferred.
- Experience or knowledge with AWS, Azure, or GCP is preferred.
- Interest in evangelism through technical talks or writing about IAM and security concepts is preferred.
