Role overview
Perform in-depth manual security reviews of source code for critical applications and services on a major government digital services platform in Abu Dhabi.
Responsibilities
- Review source code manually to identify vulnerabilities, insecure design patterns, and coding weaknesses.
- Identify authorization flaws, injection vulnerabilities, cryptographic weaknesses, and insecure data handling.
- Validate SAST and SCA findings and assess exploitability.
- Analyze sensitive data flows and execution paths across application components.
- Assess third-party libraries, custom security controls, and high-risk application modules.
- Provide code-level remediation recommendations and secure implementation examples.
- Work with development teams to resolve vulnerabilities and verify remediation.
- Recommend reusable secure coding practices and security improvements.
Qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience in secure code review or application security.
- Strong programming and code review experience in one or more of Java, C#/.NET, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Python.
- Strong understanding of secure coding principles, application architecture, and exploitation techniques.
- Hands-on experience validating SAST and SCA findings and identifying complex vulnerabilities through manual source code analysis.
- Strong technical reporting, documentation, and communication skills; ability to collaborate with developers, technical leads, and security teams.
