Data Migration Lead – SQL Server

Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end migration of data from a legacy compliance platform to the new EGRC system.
- Develop migration strategies, plans, and schedules; perform extraction, staging schema design, mapping, cleansing, and transformation.
- Design and execute ETL processes using Microsoft SQL Server technologies.
- Conduct trial migrations and validate accuracy, completeness, and consistency; reconcile with record counts, checksums, and business sample validation.
- Plan and execute production cutover and rollback procedures while preserving historical records, attachments, and metadata.
- Prepare migration documentation, reconciliation reports, and sign-off packages.
- Collaborate with database administrators, solution architects, developers, and business stakeholders.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of professional experience in SQL Server data migration and ETL.
- Strong hands-on expertise in Microsoft SQL Server and enterprise data migration; experience migrating legacy applications to modern enterprise platforms.
- Knowledge of data extraction, transformation, cleansing, and loading; experience designing staging schemas, mappings, and migration workflows.
- Hands-on experience with formal data reconciliation and validation techniques.
- Experience handling large attachment stores, historical records, and metadata.
- Understanding of cutover planning, rollback procedures, and data integrity; experience preparing migration plans, reconciliation reports, and acceptance documentation.
- Microsoft SQL Server certification or credential.
