Senior Quantity Surveyor

Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Prepare quantity take-offs, BOQs, cost estimates and tender documents.
• Review architectural, structural and MEP drawings and specifications.
• Monitor project budgets, costs, variations and additional works.
• Prepare interim payment applications and evaluate subcontractor payment claims.
• Manage subcontractor measurements, valuations and final accounts.
• Track material quantities, wastage and procurement requirements.
• Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, procurement and finance teams.
• Maintain commercial records and cost reports.
• Support contract administration and document variations and claims.

Requirements

• Five to ten years of quantity surveying experience; the posting also lists 10 years as required.
• UAE construction experience is mandatory.
• Proven high-rise building construction experience is required; G+12 to unlimited-floor project experience is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of BOQs, quantity take-offs, cost estimation and cost control.
• Experience with contract administration, variations, subcontractor payments and final accounts.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings and technical specifications.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and relevant quantity surveying software.
• Strong analytical, negotiation and communication skills.
