Lead cost management and quantity surveying for large construction and infrastructure projects.
The role is responsible for budget performance, contracts, costs, risks, claims, and financial reporting.
Experience and qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Cost Engineering, or a related field.
- 7–10 years of total experience, including 5–7 years in relevant quantity surveying or cost engineering.
- Experience on large construction or infrastructure projects; AED 500M+ project experience is preferred.
- RICS certification or equivalent is advantageous.
Key skills and tools
- Quantity surveying, cost planning and estimation, and cost engineering.
- Contract administration, claims and variations management, and final accounts.
- Cost reporting, risk management, project controls, and stakeholder management.
- CostX or similar estimating software, MS Project, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review budgets, estimates, and cost plans; advise on project costs and maintain benchmarks and estimating standards.
- Manage contracts, variations, claims, and final accounts; evaluate contractor claims and recommend actions.
- Ensure contractual compliance and manage project cost and contractual risks with mitigation strategies.
- Prepare forecasts and financial reports, monitor spending against budgets, and support management with cost information.
- Coordinate with project teams, consultants, contractors, procurement, finance, and legal teams.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance on cost-related matters.
Compensation
