Position overview

Essential experience

• A strong fit-out background in the ultra-luxury sector is essential; general construction experience alone is not the stated focus.
• Proven experience on very high-end luxury hospitality or similarly prestigious projects.
• Experience with quality standards, finishes, materials, and execution in ultra-luxury environments.
• B.Eng degree or equivalent.
• At least 10 years as an engineer in fit-out, including significant senior QA/QC experience.

Core job functions

• Manage the project QAQC Department and implement company QAQC policy on site.
• Assess subcontractors against policy and prepare accurate reports, logs, and graphs for management and consultant teams.
• Review, log, and act on test and inspection results; report unauthorised deviations from approved materials, finishes, and samples.
• Arrange QAQC schedules and meetings; monitor site quality and manage non-conformances.
• Oversee materials submittals and QAQC documentation; deliver training to QAQC and fit-out site staff.
• Plan quality assurance to meet ultra-luxury standards and establish inspection, testing, and evaluation methods.
• Oversee quality analysis, inspection, design, testing, and auditing; inspect executed works and finishes.
• Check materials against specifications with procurement and arrange testing by qualified supervisors or third-party laboratories.
• Maintain the Quality Manual and Quality Procedures Manual and promote awareness of adopted standards.
• Attend project kick-off and pre-production supplier meetings where applicable; supervise QA/QC engineers and allocate quality personnel.
