Senior Python Engineer - Automation

Role Overview

What You’ll Do

• Develop automation solutions through intake, development, debugging, testing, production deployment, and documentation.
• Run and maintain more than 500 existing automation processes.
• Develop Python-based and Agentic AI tools for data consolidation, reporting, and system reconciliation.
• Lead meetings with business collaborators to identify automation opportunities and process improvements.
• Review automation code and documentation for quality, sustainability, and governance compliance.
• Mentor junior engineers and support team training and professional development.
• Research new Python libraries, AI tools, and automation frameworks.
• Support proof-of-concept development for new AI tools and frameworks.

What We’re Seeking

• High-level Python skills and at least three years of Python development experience, or a relevant master's degree with zero to two years of experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a similar field.
• Experience with multiple data sources, ERP systems, and legacy environments.
• Strong communication, organizational, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently, collaborate with teams, set goals, and adapt to changing priorities.
• Advanced ability with Python and Microsoft Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.

Preferred Experience

• Preferred technologies include R, SQL, Java, C++, C#, HTML, Selenium, Power Automate, Copilot, Snowflake, Power BI, IPA, Anaplan, and Microsoft Dynamics 365.
• Preferred experience also includes data warehouses, dashboarding tools, and automation frameworks.
