We are hiring an experienced
Senior Project Engineer
to manage the execution of industrial and municipal water and wastewater treatment projects from contract award through engineering, procurement, manufacturing, installation, commissioning, and final handover.
The successful candidate will work closely with clients, consultants, EPC contractors, vendors, engineering teams, production departments, logistics providers, and site personnel to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with contractual and technical requirements.
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end execution of water and wastewater treatment projects from contract award through project completion.
- Develop, monitor, and maintain project schedules, milestones, and execution plans.
- Coordinate engineering, procurement, manufacturing, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), logistics, installation, and commissioning activities.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, EPC contractors, and project stakeholders.
- Review project specifications, contracts, drawings, and technical documentation.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams, including process, mechanical, electrical, and automation disciplines.
- Manage technical queries (TQs), RFIs, engineering approvals, and project documentation.
- Coordinate procurement activities, vendor documentation, inspections, manufacturing progress, and equipment deliveries.
- Monitor fabrication schedules, quality inspections, FAT activities, and corrective actions.
- Coordinate shipment planning, export documentation, site installation, and commissioning support.
- Monitor project risks, variations, change orders, contractual obligations, and commercial impacts.
- Prepare project progress reports and monitor project performance against schedule, budget, and quality objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Environmental, Process, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- 8ā12 years of project execution experience, including at least 5 years in water treatment, wastewater treatment, desalination, or industrial utility projects.
- Experience managing multidisciplinary EPC projects from engineering through commissioning.
- Strong knowledge of Water Treatment Plants (WTP), Reverse Osmosis (RO), Ultrafiltration (UF), MBR/MBBR Systems, Sewage Treatment Plants (STP), Desalination Systems, Pumping Stations, Chemical Dosing Systems, and Industrial Water & Wastewater Treatment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite, and ERP systems.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- UAE/GCC project experience.
- Experience working on international projects across Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar, Iraq, or Africa.
- Previous experience with EPC contractors such as TotalEnergies, Petrofac, Wood, Technip, ADNOC, Aramco, QatarEnergy, or similar organizations.
- Experience managing projects valued above USD 5 million.
- PMP Certification.
- Experience with Primavera P6.
- Valid UAE driving license.
