Key responsibilities
- Coordinate on-site construction and project management activities across allocated projects.
- Support the successful delivery of projects to scope, schedule, quality and budget requirements.
- Assist with planning, forecasting, cost control and project reporting.
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and internal stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
- Monitor project risks, opportunities and program performance.
- Support contractual administration, including claims and variations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, subcontractors and project teams.
- Drive productivity improvements and continuous improvement initiatives across project delivery.
- Champion Downer's Zero Harm culture through safety leadership, inspections and workforce engagement.
- Ensure compliance with project governance, quality systems and operational processes.
- What you’ll bring
- Experience in project coordination, project management or construction delivery within Civil, ITS, Electrical or related infrastructure environments.
- Degree in Engineering or equivalent tertiary qualification (preferred).
- Strong understanding of project planning, budgeting, forecasting and cost control.
- Experience managing subcontractors and stakeholder relationships.
- Knowledge of contractual administration, claims and variations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach with strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams and SharePoint.
