What You’ll Do
- This role offers a broad scope, with key role responsibilities including:
- Provide integrated logistics support oversight and specialist advice for Defence Joint Projects managed systems, fleet products and projects.
- Lead and mentor a materiel logistics team, setting priorities and promoting consistent, integrated delivery across the discipline.
- Develop, implement and maintain Defence-aligned logistics policies, processes, support plans and documentation.
- Review sustainment performance, manage logistics data integrity and contribute to spares modelling and continuous improvement activities.
- Engage strategic and operational stakeholders, producing high-quality briefs and regular status reports covering capability, risks, issues, opportunities and planned work.
What You’ll Bring
- Demonstrated experience delivering integrated logistics support and materiel logistics outcomes in a Defence sustainment or capability environment.
- Leadership experience, with the ability to mentor teams, organise competing priorities and make sound decisions under broad direction.
- Working knowledge of Defence policy, Commonwealth legislation, procurement and supply chain management requirements.
- Experience using Defence logistics and enterprise systems such as MILIS, SAP/ERP, PUBLOG and OPUS 10, including maintaining data quality.
- Relevant logistics training or qualifications, such as the Materiel Logistics Introduction Course, Materiel Logistics Practitioners Course and/or a Certificate IV in Logistics Management.
- Due to the nature of the work, you are required to currently hold and maintain an AGSVA Security clearance as required by the Commonwealth. In some instances, compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) requirements may also be an inherent requirement.
