What you’ll do

  • This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including:
  • Carry out general maintenance and repairs across sites
  • Perform routine and preventative and reactive maintenance to ensure safety and presentation
  • Respond to maintenance requests promptly and efficiently
  • Complete basic trade tasks (e.g. plumbing, carpentry, minor electrical, painting) within scope
  • Conduct safety checks, identify issues, and ensure compliance with WHS standards

What You’ll bring

  • Proven experience in general maintenance, repairs, or handyperson work
  • Carpentry qualification – highly desirable
  • Construction white card
  • Restricted Electrical Licence (desirable)
  • Safety focused – Downer is Zero Harm focused
  • Good time management, problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
  • Able to communicate professionally, manage multiple tasks and maintain accurate records
  • Relevant backgrounds checks including, Medical and National Police Check
