Company and team

Anduril is a defense technology company developing systems powered by its Lattice OS platform.

The Autonomous Airpower business line develops and manufactures unmanned aircraft for U.S. and allied air forces.

The program finance team works with engineering, program management, and operations on contract planning, execution, and reporting.

About the role

The Senior Program Financial Analyst owns the financial health of one or more Autonomous Airpower contracts.

The role partners with program managers, engineering leads, and Finance/Accounting on forecasts, budget baselines, earned value reporting, and margin performance.

The role combines financial modeling, cross-functional partnership, data analysis, and communication of program execution risk and financial impact.

What you’ll do

  • Own contract-level financial management, including monthly EAC/ETC development and cost and schedule variance analysis.
  • Maintain contract value baselines in Excel/Oracle, including BCWS phasing, reforecasting, change control, and monthly status reports.
  • Build and challenge bottoms-up forecasts for labor, materials, subcontracts, and other direct costs with program and engineering partners.
  • Prepare monthly financial reviews covering margins, actual-to-forecast variances, funding, and billing.
  • Reconcile billings with cost performance; support unbilled AR, revenue recognition inputs, and month-end close.
  • Analyze unit-cost trends and report drivers to program and engineering leadership.
  • Support pricing, proposals, and ROM estimates for contract modifications and follow-on work.
  • Build reporting in Oracle, Anaplan, and Foundry; contribute to long-range planning and the annual operating plan.
  • Improve program controls tools, templates, and procedures.

Required qualifications

  • 3–5 years in program finance, program controls, FP&A, or a related finance or accounting role.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong Microsoft Office and Excel modeling skills; comfort working with large datasets.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • U.S. citizenship and eligibility to apply for and maintain a U.S. security clearance.

Preferred qualifications

  • DoD or aerospace and defense industry experience, especially with cost-type or FFP development contracts.
  • Exposure to EVM concepts, including CPI/SPI, BCWS/BCWP/ACWP, VAC, and EAC/ETC.
  • Experience with Deltek Cobra, Oracle Fusion, Oracle EPM, or equivalent program controls or ERP tools.
  • Familiarity with FAR/DFARS and CAS-covered contracting environments.
  • Experience supporting proposals, BOEs, or should-cost analysis.
  • Experience using Databricks, Foundry, and Claude Cowork/Code.

Location

  • The posting says the role is expected to be based in Long Beach, California beginning in late 2027.

Compensation

  • The salary range is $117,000–$154,000 annually.
