Hiring: Senior Procurement Officer \| Dubai, UAE
Our client is looking for an experienced and commercially driven Senior Procurement Officer to join our Group Procurement & Supply Chain function based in Dubai.
This role will serve as the Group’s senior procurement representative in the Gulf, leading strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, contract governance, and procurement operations supporting them and their subsidiary entities across Africa and the GCC.
Travel: Up to 30% across GCC & West Africa
Key Responsibilities
- Lead strategic sourcing and category management across IT, professional services, capital equipment, logistics, facilities, marketing, and indirect spend
- Manage end-to-end tendering processes (RFI/RFQ/RFP/e-auctions)
- Drive supplier negotiations, contract execution, and cost optimization initiatives
- Establish robust procurement governance, compliance, and audit-ready processes
- Manage supplier risk, KYC/AML screening, sanctions checks, and performance reviews
- Partner with finance, legal, operations, and executive stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions
- Lead and develop a Dubai-based procurement team
Requirements
✔ 8–10+ years of progressive procurement experience
✔ Experience within UAE/GCC procurement environments
✔ Strong background in strategic sourcing, contracts, and supplier management
✔ Experience handling contracts valued at USD 1M+
✔ ERP procurement systems experience (SAP, Oracle, Coupa, Dynamics, etc.)
✔ CIPS Level 5 or MCIPS strongly preferred
✔ Experience within holding groups, conglomerates, or multi-entity structures is highly advantageous
