About The Role
The Procurement Officer is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing goods and services required by the organization.
The role ensures cost-effective procurement, timely delivery, supplier performance management, and compliance with company policies to support operational and business objectives.
The successful candidate will have experience in procurement within the Oil & Gas industry, a strong understanding of supply chain processes, and the ability to effectively manage supplier relationships and procurement activities.
Key Responsibilitie
- sSource, evaluate, and procure materials, equipment, and services in accordance with business requirements
- .Obtain quotations, compare supplier offers, and negotiate pricing, contracts, and delivery terms
- .Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure quality, reliability, and competitive pricing
- .Monitor supplier performance and address issues related to quality, delivery, and service levels
- .Ensure timely procurement and availability of materials to support operational and project requirements
- .Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement procurement best practices to improve efficiency
- .Prepare and process purchase orders and maintain accurate procurement records
- .Coordinate with internal departments to understand purchasing needs and provide procurement support
- .Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, procedures, and contractual obligations
- .Utilize ERP systems, preferably SAP, to manage procurement activities and reporting
- .Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to achieving departmental objectives
- .Adhere to Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) requirements and company standards
- .Collaborate with inventory, logistics, and project teams to ensure seamless material flow and supply chain efficiency
- .Support material planning activities to ensure optimal stock levels and uninterrupted operations

Requiremen
- tsBachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related fiel
- d.Minimum 4 years of professional experience, including at least 2 years in procurement or supply chain function
- s.Mechanical engineering background with experience in the Oil & Gas industr
- y.Good understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes, including procurement, inventory management, logistics, vendor management, and material plannin
- g.Proven experience in sourcing technical materials, equipment, and services for Oil & Gas operations and project
- s.Professional certification in Procurement, Supply Chain, or Logistics is an advantag
- e.Experience using ERP systems, preferably SA
- P.Strong negotiation, supplier relationship management, and contract administration skill
