The employer is seeking a highly experienced Senior Planning Engineer for building projects and complex construction planning, scheduling, and progress control.
The role supports delivery in compliance with Ashghal standards.
Key responsibilities
- Develop, monitor, and update project schedules using Primavera P6.
- Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and consultants to support timely execution.
- Prepare progress reports, dashboards, and delay analyses; identify risks and propose mitigations.
- Ensure compliance with Ashghal procedures and reporting formats.
- Provide planning support for tendering, execution, and project close-out.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Civil Engineering is mandatory.
- The description requests at least 15 years of construction-planning experience and five years on Ashghal projects in Qatar; structured experience fields separately specify 10 years’ work experience and five years on Ashghal building projects.
- Strong background in residential, commercial, or infrastructure building projects.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, and Excel; strong analytical, communication, and coordination skills.
- UPDA certification is required.
Preferred qualifications
- MMUP/UPDA certification is listed as preferred, while the license field specifies UPDA as required.
- PMP certification or equivalent is an advantage.
- Familiarity with Ashghal project management systems and standards is preferred.
Pay
- QAR 13,000–14,000 per month.
Work location
- Work is in person in Doha.
