Senior Officer BHS Contracts

Role overview

Operations and leadership

• Lead BHS Operations and Maintenance Supervisors and Control Room Operators and manage shift teams.
• Oversee daily BHS operations, resource use, system performance, reliability, and availability.
• Provide stakeholders with timely performance information and participate in operational meetings.
• Inspect baggage facilities and operating areas for safety and compliance.
• Identify and resolve operational issues; manage incidents and irregular operations with stakeholders.

Maintenance, continuity, and reporting

• Develop and oversee preventive maintenance plans and ensure timely work completion and operational handover.
• Apply contingency procedures under the Business Continuity Plan during major operational issues.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and system-breakdown reports and statistics for management.
• Provide regular performance feedback to team members.

Education and experience

• At least five years of relevant experience in Baggage System Operations and Ramp Operations.
• A bachelor's degree is preferred, or equivalent technical education.

Knowledge and competencies

• Sound understanding of contract administration, SLA and KPI monitoring, commercial documentation, change control, invoice verification, and risk tracking.
• Knowledge of GCAA regulations and IATA procedures related to baggage operations.
• Familiarity with local and international aviation laws, regulations, and operational requirements.
• Required capabilities include resource coordination, compliance management, stakeholder service, incident response, decision-making, planning, reporting, and continuous improvement.

• Comply with Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Promptly report hazards, unsafe conditions, and non-conformities.
• Participate in HSE training and promote safe, environmentally responsible work practices.
