Senior Network Security Engineer

Job Description

Responsibilities

• Manage Cloudflare DNS, WAF rules, rate limiting, custom hostnames, hostname lists, and IP lists.
• Own Cloudflare domain onboarding and lifecycle management with consistent security baselines.
• Configure Cloudflare Zero Trust and Access SSO applications.
• Develop and maintain Cloudflare Workers for edge logic and security automation.
• Manage OPSWAT file scanning and review file scan results and false positives.
• Tune WAF policies across Cloudflare and supporting platforms.
• Support Palo Alto and Fortigate firewall policy and rule administration.
• Support F5 LTM/WAF and GTM administration, including load balancing and site failover.
• Monitor Cloudflare analytics and logs and perform root-cause analysis.
• Maintain configuration documentation and coordinate major changes with infrastructure and security teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• At least 8 years of experience in application delivery, WAF, and content security engineering.
• Primary hands-on expertise with Cloudflare domains, WAF, rate limiting, SSO, custom hostnames, Workers, hostname lists, and IP lists.
• Primary hands-on expertise with OPSWAT file scanning platforms.
• Working knowledge of Palo Alto, Fortigate, F5 LTM/WAF, and F5 GTM platforms.
• Strong understanding of DNS, SSL/TLS, Layer 4-7 traffic management, and file-based threat triage.
• Relevant Cloudflare, OPSWAT, Palo Alto, Fortinet, or F5 certifications are preferred.

Technical Skills

• Cloudflare skills include domain onboarding, DNS, WAF rules, rate limiting, SSO applications, custom hostnames, Workers, hostname lists, and IP lists.
• OPSWAT skills include data-in-transit and data-at-rest file inspection and false-positive review.
• F5 and firewall skills include LTM/WAF, GTM, Palo Alto, and Fortigate administration.
• Core knowledge includes DNS, SSL/TLS, Layer 4-7 traffic management, and file-based threat triage.
