Role summary

Network infrastructure and SD-WAN

• Design, deploy, and manage Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, and Aruba solutions, including routers, switches, firewalls, access points, and network security devices.
• Monitor and optimize performance, availability, and fault tolerance.
• Lead SD-WAN deployment and management, design architectures with stakeholders, and resolve related performance, security, and scalability issues.

Security and troubleshooting

• Manage firewalls, VPNs, intrusion prevention systems, and other network protections; assess vulnerabilities, monitor threats, and implement security policies.
• Support compliance with security standards and regulatory requirements.
• Troubleshoot complex routing, switching, security, and SD-WAN issues; analyze root causes, implement preventive measures, and coordinate vendor escalations.

Automation, documentation, and collaboration

• Use Ansible, Python, or PowerShell to automate network configuration, monitoring, and reporting, and reduce manual work.
• Document network topologies, configurations, and operating procedures; report on performance, incidents, and optimization.
• Collaborate with system engineers, security teams, and cloud architects; mentor junior engineers and share best practices.
• Stay current on networking practices, particularly SD-WAN, security, and automation.

Qualifications

• Requires 7–10 years of hands-on enterprise networking experience, with expertise in Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, and Aruba solutions.
• Requires strong SD-WAN deployment and network optimization experience.
• Requires the ability to design, implement, and troubleshoot routing, switching, security, and SD-WAN environments.
• Requires a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
