Role overview

Design, implement, support, and optimize enterprise network infrastructure.

Support reliable and secure network operations, resolve complex technical issues, contribute to infrastructure projects, and guide internal teams and customers.

Key responsibilities

  • Design, configure, implement, and maintain enterprise LAN, WAN, WLAN, and network security infrastructure.
  • Configure and troubleshoot Cisco routing and switching, L2/L3 technologies, and dynamic routing protocols.
  • Implement and support VLANs, STP, OSPF, VRRP, QoS, VPN/IPsec, DNS, DHCP, proxy services, and TCP/IP services.
  • Monitor availability, utilization, capacity, and performance; troubleshoot complex incidents and perform root-cause analysis.
  • Support firewalls and security systems, vulnerability remediation, network upgrades, migrations, commissioning, testing, and acceptance.
  • Maintain service availability, resilience, performance, and security; provide customer-facing support in 24x7 service environments as required.
  • Collaborate across teams; document configurations, diagrams, SOPs, incidents, and knowledge transfer; evaluate improvements and mentor junior staff.

Technical requirements

  • At least 5 years of hands-on enterprise networking experience covering routing and switching, Wi-Fi, and firewall/security environments.
  • Strong Cisco enterprise networking experience and knowledge of OSI, TCP/IP, IP addressing, subnetting, routing, switching, and network security.
  • Practical L2/L3 experience with VLANs, STP, OSPF, VRRP, QoS, and IPsec; experience with DNS/DHCP, proxies, WAN optimization, and enterprise connectivity.
  • Proficiency with network monitoring, packet/traffic analysis, diagnostics, performance analysis, and troubleshooting tools.
  • Experience supporting business-critical or 24x7 enterprise services and structured service-delivery processes; ability to communicate findings clearly.

Education and certifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Telecommunications, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • Valid Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) certification is mandatory.
  • CCNA, CCNP, firewall/security, cloud networking, or network automation certifications are advantageous.

Preferred experience and competencies

  • Implementation, migration, commissioning, infrastructure upgrade, multi-vendor integration, and customer/vendor/OEM experience are preferred.
  • UAE/GCC project or service-support experience and a UAE driving license for roles requiring customer/site visits are preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, communication, and stakeholder-management skills; able to work independently and handle time-sensitive critical incidents.

Pay

  • Pay is up to AED 15,000 per month.
