Its services include procurement support, transportation coordination, inventory and warehouse management, and last-mile logistics.

Role purpose

Lead strategy, selection, design, implementation, integration, launch, and ongoing operation of B2B and B2C digital marketplaces across web and mobile.

Own the marketplace technology roadmap and lead internal teams and delivery partners.

Integrate marketplace capabilities with SAP S/4HANA and enterprise systems across catalogs, pricing, inventory, orders, fulfillment, payments, invoices, and returns.

Strategy and platform architecture

  • Own marketplace strategy, product roadmap, prioritized backlog, phased releases, business cases, delivery plans, resources, dependencies, and outcomes.
  • Lead discovery, process mapping, platform evaluation, RFP inputs, and build-versus-buy recommendations.
  • Establish architecture for storefronts, mobile apps, seller services, order management, data, APIs, security, scalability, and total cost of ownership.

Marketplace capabilities and fulfillment

  • Deliver B2B account structures, user roles, purchasing approvals, customer catalogs and pricing, quotations, bulk ordering, credit controls, invoice visibility, and returns.
  • Deliver B2C web and mobile capabilities for registration, search, checkout, promotions, payments, delivery, tracking, cancellations, refunds, and support.
  • Enable consistent Arabic and English experiences, accessibility, and effective mobile performance.
  • Enable supplier onboarding, verification, portals, product and stock updates, order acceptance, fulfillment collaboration, and performance visibility.
  • Support seller commission rules, settlement reporting, reconciliation, and dispute workflows where applicable.
  • Design fulfillment workflows for warehouse stock, supplier-fulfilled, flow-through, inventory reservations, order allocation, partial deliveries, returns, and proof of delivery.

Integration, delivery, and operations

  • Establish interface contracts, data ownership, monitoring, alerts, exception queues, retries, reconciliation, duplicate prevention, and recovery controls.
  • Own delivery from discovery and design through configuration, development, migration, testing, cutover, launch, and stabilization.
  • Oversee functional, integration, regression, security, performance, and user acceptance testing; agree sign-off, rollback, and readiness.
  • Embed access controls, audit trails, data protection, payment security, fraud controls, customer consent, retention, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Own service models, vendor service levels, monitoring, capacity, incident escalation, root-cause improvements, backup, disaster recovery, and continuity.

Analytics, readiness, and governance

  • Define dashboards for service, orders, payments, integrations, data accuracy, seller activation, and customer adoption; guide Power BI and Data Lake requirements.
  • Lead business readiness, customer and supplier onboarding, training, communications, user guides, service handover, and documentation.
  • Manage implementation and operating budgets, forecasts, licenses, contracts, vendor performance, change requests, and delivery reporting.

Qualifications and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience, including at least five years leading teams, programs, or platform delivery.
  • Demonstrated personal accountability for designing or implementing, launching, and scaling an e-commerce marketplace.
  • Experience across B2B and B2C commerce, marketplace workflows, commerce-to-ERP integration, order-to-cash, and financial reconciliation.
  • Experience leading teams, stakeholders, vendors, platform launch, live operations, incident management, contracts, and budgets.
  • Direct SAP S/4HANA integration delivery involving SD, MM, FI/CO, and API or middleware capabilities is strongly preferred.
  • Experience building marketplace capabilities at Amazon, noon, or another established marketplace is requested.
