Senior Manager, HR Digital Solutions Design

Role overview

People leadership and design

• Prioritize team work across operational security, data, workflow configuration, and project initiatives.
• Build team capability and foster documentation, peer review, and knowledge sharing.
• Own Workday design standards for business processes, security groups, data models, and integrations.
• Maintain reusable configuration and integration patterns; review changes and integrations for fit, scalability, and risk.
• Lead or support complex cross-module and cross-system projects, including module rollouts, M&A integrations, and AI/agent data access patterns.

Integrations and governance

• Co-design and oversee integrations using Workday Studio, EIBs, Core Connector, and Workday APIs or web services.
• Maintain dependency mapping across Workday, ServiceNow, SAP, vendor systems, and data platforms.
• Define tenant and environment strategy with IT and maintain release, regression, and impact-assessment practices.
• Maintain the Workday-SAP coexistence and security framework and direct security analysts' implementation and administration.
• Oversee Workday/SAP data sync, data quality, and extracts in line with broader data architecture.
• Partner with HR and IT to govern Workday data for reporting, Snowflake, and AI agents, and establish quality-control and peer-review practices.

Leadership and collaboration

• Serve as senior technical escalation point for design conflicts, feasibility questions, and complex troubleshooting.
• Mentor Digital Solutions teams on design practices and partner with ServiceNow, IT, and enterprise architecture/security teams.

Required qualifications

• 7+ years of Workday experience with demonstrated expert-level technical experience.
• Practical experience with Phenom, VNDLY, ServiceNow, S/4 HANA, Microsoft access management, and other enterprise applications at global scope.
• Prior people management experience, ideally leading technical or analyst teams.
• Deep expertise in Workday data model, security architecture, and business process framework.
• Hands-on experience with Workday Studio, EIBs, Core Connectors, PECI, RaaS, and Workday APIs.
• Experience managing tenant and release strategy across a multi-module Workday deployment.
• Strong enterprise data governance and security knowledge; regulated-industry experience is preferred.
• Ability to translate ambiguous requirements into scalable technical designs and explain tradeoffs to varied audiences.

Preferred qualifications and success factors

• Workday certifications in Integrations, HCM Core, Procure to Pay, or Security are preferred.
• AI/data platform initiatives, enterprise change/release governance, and HR service delivery platform experience are preferred.
• Use sound judgment to protect long-term design integrity, combine individual technical contribution with standard-setting, and document designs proactively.
