Role overview

Technical and business responsibilities

• Manage work related to developing products and services, nurturing client relationships, and applying relevant technologies to business processes.
• Monitor developments affecting current and prospective customers and help promote ABS global gas services.
• Support owners, shipyards, designers, and stakeholders on business development and ongoing projects; coordinate communications and help resolve issues.
• Serve as an internal subject matter expert on gas carriers, floating gas projects, and gas and lower flash point fuel applications.
• Direct professional employees and organize and motivate senior-level professionals.
• Identify service and product improvement needs, market opportunities, and technical tools or workforce skills needed to implement improvements.
• Participate in industry organizations and support rule development, research and development needs, and external committees.
• Promote ABS natural gas services through informational content, client visits, meetings, conferences, trade shows, and seminars.
• Assist the Director with business development efforts.

Education and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or recognized equivalent is required.
• Eight or more years of related experience are required.

Knowledge and capabilities

• Detailed knowledge of FLNGs, FSRUs, gas carriers, gas fuel systems, and other applicable gas systems.
• Ability to obtain working knowledge of the ABS Health, Safety, Quality & Environmental Management System.
• Able to explain complex technical issues orally and in writing and present them to clients and public forums.
• Management, team direction, relationship-building, and problem-solving abilities are required.
• Strong familiarity with Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
