Senior Manager - Development

Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Lead projects from concept initiation through design, approvals, and delivery readiness.
• Develop and maintain business cases, development strategies, and implementation plans.
• Coordinate feasibility studies, market assessments, financial analyses, and development evaluations for investment decisions.
• Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, risks, and milestones.
• Coordinate internal Design, Engineering, Project Delivery, Finance, Procurement, Legal, Commercial, and Operations functions.
• Manage consultants and external advisers involved in planning, design, technical studies, and execution.
• Lead engagement with government entities, regulatory authorities, investors, and strategic partners.
• Monitor performance and provide progress reports and recommendations to senior leadership.
• Support procurement strategies and commercial negotiations.
• Identify risks and opportunities and implement mitigation and value-enhancement strategies.
• Ensure compliance with governance requirements, development standards, and regulatory obligations.
• Mentor team members and promote collaboration and high performance.

Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate Development, Engineering, Architecture, Urban Planning, Construction Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• PMP, RICS, MRICS, AICP, MBA, or equivalent professional certification preferred.
• Requires 8–12 years of progressive experience in real estate development, infrastructure development, project management, urban development, or related fields.

Experience

• Experience managing development projects through planning, feasibility, design, and pre-construction phases.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and external consultants.
• Experience preparing business cases, development strategies, and investment recommendations.
• Experience engaging regulatory authorities, investors, and key stakeholders.
• Experience supporting large-scale real estate, mixed-use, infrastructure, hospitality, entertainment, or destination development projects.
