Role overview

Responsibilities

• Lead civil, structural, MEP, and facade technical subject matter experts.
• Support design competitions, consultant selection, and novation for office assets and mixed-use parcels.
• Guide concept, schematic, detailed design, and construction documentation while preserving design intent.
• Coordinate with masterplanning, infrastructure, landscape, and sustainability teams.
• Manage consultant scope, programme, and fee; chair design reviews and technical workshops; develop and report performance KPIs.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, sustainability targets, civil defense requirements, and Qiddiya guidelines.
• Lead value engineering without compromising design quality or investment value.
• Present proposals and progress to executive, investment, and government stakeholders.
• Mentor and build the in-house technical services function.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, project management, or a relevant field.
• Master’s degree, professional registration, and PMP registration are advantageous.
• 12–18+ years of design management experience, including senior leadership on large commercial office or mixed-use developments.
• Experience leading teams to deliver against programme while balancing cost, time, and quality.
• Expert knowledge of local and international design codes, standards, and regulations.
• KSA or Middle East experience is preferred.
• Track record delivering BCO Grade A or investment-grade office towers or business parks from concept through handover.
• Experience managing international multidisciplinary consultant teams; strong design review and authority approval knowledge.
• Strong English communication, executive presentation, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
• Experience with major programmes, competing priorities, business change, and enterprise digital design solutions.
