The role applies analytics consultatively with internal and external partners to inform decisions and contribute to complex projects.
What you'll do
- Lead advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI solutions to improve healthcare outcomes, patient experiences, operational efficiency, and business performance.
- Translate healthcare challenges into scalable data science solutions with product, technology, and business teams.
- Lead end-to-end initiatives using healthcare datasets, from problem definition and experimental design through deployment, monitoring, and enhancement.
- Mentor data scientists and establish best practices for problem formulation, study design, model development, deployment, and monitoring.
- Present insights, recommendations, and business impact to senior stakeholders using data-driven storytelling.
What you bring
- 4–5+ years of progressive experience in data science, AI, machine learning, or advanced analytics.
- Experience in healthcare, pharmacy, life sciences, insurance, or another highly regulated industry is preferred.
- Strong Python proficiency and hands-on development of machine learning and AI solutions.
- Exposure to Generative AI, LLMs, RAG, NLP, or AI agents is highly valued.
- Experience with clinical, claims, pharmacy, patient/member, provider, or population health data, and understanding of data quality, privacy, governance, and responsible AI.
- Ability to lead complex AI and analytics initiatives, mentor data scientists, and collaborate across technical, clinical, product, and business teams.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related quantitative discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
Hiring range
- CAD 100,000–132,000 per year; experience, knowledge, and geographic region may affect pay.
