Front-line retail security role protecting employees, customers, and property while reducing theft and fraud in high-volume grocery and pharmacy settings.
What you’ll do
- Maintain a visible, professional in-store presence to deter theft, fraud, and policy violations.
- Safely and lawfully detain offenders in accordance with company and legal procedures.
- Conduct internal and external investigations, gather and analyze evidence, and collaborate with law enforcement when required.
- Partner with store leadership to identify loss trends and implement prevention strategies.
- Support operations by ensuring compliance with company standards, security policies, and provincial regulations.
- Adapt to a dynamic environment and flexible schedule.
What you’ll bring
- Valid Provincial Security Guard License and understanding of the Criminal Code of Canada, the Trespass to Property Act, and related legislation.
- Experience with CCTV, surveillance tools, and Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Approachable, confident, and respectful professional presence with exceptional communication skills.
- Trustworthiness, accountability, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Previous experience in grocery, pharmacy, or other high-volume retail environments is an asset.
Compensation
- Hiring range is $21.00 per hour; pay may reflect experience, knowledge, and geographic region.
Screening
- Candidates aged 18 or older are required to complete a criminal background check.
