  • Direct critical incident triage, root cause analysis, escalations, and communication for events affecting customer-facing services and business continuity.
  • Oversee network changes, migrations, and refreshes; conduct post-incident reviews, address resilience gaps, and resolve chronic issues.

Team leadership and modernization

  • Lead and mentor an approximately 15-person technical operations team through coaching, performance development, and succession planning.
  • Champion SRE, automation, observability, proactive incident detection and remediation, and AI-assisted operations.
  • Identify automation opportunities across incident response, monitoring, alerting, and routine tasks; partner on AI agents, intelligent alerting, and predictive analytics.
  • Maintain standards, runbooks, and documentation; represent the team in vendor and implementation discussions.

Planning and collaboration

  • Develop operational strategies and participate in network refresh, SD-WAN expansion, and infrastructure upgrade planning.
  • Collaborate with network engineering, integration, and business technology teams on new platform integration.
  • Represent operations in executive discussions and communicate metrics, risks, and transformation progress.

Required qualifications

  • 6–8 years of enterprise network operations experience, including 2–4 years in leadership or senior technical management.
  • Experience driving modernization and automation initiatives, including infrastructure automation, orchestration, or AI-assisted operations.
  • Strong SRE foundation in runbooks, automation, observability, and metrics-driven operations.
  • Hands-on knowledge of branch/campus routing and switching (BGP, OSPF, HSRP, STP, VRF, L2/L3), SD-WAN, remote access/NAC, Aruba wireless, ClearPass, global Wi-Fi, and ATM networks.
  • Critical incident management, root cause analysis, and high-pressure communication experience.
  • Experience managing teams of 15+ with accountability for SLAs, metrics, and business deliverables.

Nice-to-have qualifications

  • CCNP, CISSP, or another relevant network certification.
  • Familiarity with Python, Ansible, or Bash scripting.
  • Hands-on experience with orchestration platforms, AI agents, or intelligent alerting systems.
  • Experience leading cross-functional digital transformation or infrastructure modernization programs.

Rewards and development

  • RBC offers a total rewards program with compensation, bonuses, and flexible benefits.
  • Career advancement, training, coaching, and development opportunities are available.
