Role overview

Network operations and incident management

• Run global access network infrastructure operations and maintain availability and service-level agreements.
• Lead critical incident triage, root-cause analysis, escalation, and stakeholder communications.
• Oversee network changes, migrations, and refreshes while minimizing business disruption.
• Review incidents, identify resilience gaps, resolve chronic issues, and implement preventive measures.

Team leadership

• Lead and mentor approximately 15 Senior Network Analysts through coaching, performance development, and succession planning.
• Build a culture of learning, technical excellence, and accountability; align team capacity and skills with infrastructure needs.
• Represent the team in cross-training, vendor calls, implementation planning, and strategic technology discussions.

Modernization and collaboration

• Champion SRE transformation, automation, observability, proactive incident detection and remediation, and AI-assisted operations.
• Identify automation opportunities across incident response, monitoring, alerting, and routine operations.
• Evaluate emerging technologies, including AI agents, intelligent alerting, and predictive analytics, with engineering and technology partners.
• Maintain standards, runbooks, and documentation; develop strategies for network refreshes, SD-WAN expansion, and infrastructure upgrades.

Required qualifications

• Six to eight years of enterprise network operations experience, including two to four years in leadership or senior technical management.
• Proven experience driving technology modernization and automation, including infrastructure automation, orchestration, or AI-assisted operations.
• Strong SRE foundation covering runbooks, automation, observability, and metrics-driven operations.
• Hands-on knowledge of routing and switching (BGP, OSPF, HSRP, STP, VRF, Layer 2/Layer 3), SD-WAN, Aruba wireless/RAP VPN, ClearPass/NAC, global Wi-Fi, and ATM networks.
• Critical incident management experience, including root-cause analysis and communication under pressure.
• Experience managing 15 or more technical operations staff, with accountability for service levels, metrics, and business deliverables.

Preferred qualifications

• CCNP, CISSP, or another relevant network certification is a plus.
• Python, Ansible, or Bash familiarity; orchestration platforms, AI agents, or intelligent alerting experience are pluses.
• Experience leading cross-functional digital transformation or infrastructure modernization programs is a plus.
