Role overview

Plans, coordinates, and oversees construction-project logistics to support safe, efficient site operations.

Site logistics and performance

  • Manage logistics delivery through procurement and oversight of a sitewide logistics management contractor.
  • Set measurable objectives and monitor the contractor’s service delivery.
  • Coordinate orderly, safe movement of labour, plant, and materials; maintain a secure, well-kept site.
  • Manage worker accommodation where applicable and hold regular logistics meetings.
  • Develop processes, procedures, inductions, supply-chain management, movement plans, and lookahead forecasts.
  • Ensure logistics do not constrain the programme; review monthly time-slice and weekly plans.
  • Prepare a site-specific safety manual, ensure first-aid cover and equipment, and maintain the Site Emergency Plan.
  • Coordinate site communications, corporate-branding signage, public-access roads, and security.

Controls, interfaces, and assurance

  • Review logistics-contractor scope changes, assess impacts, and monitor change management through the Engineer.
  • Ensure the logistics contractor acquires necessary permits.
  • Review budgets and cost plans and confirm work is remeasured and signed off under the contract.
  • Review detailed logistics risk registers and mitigation plans with site stakeholders.
  • Coordinate programme consultants, stakeholders, and plot teams on logistics, external access, and related impacts.
  • Use regular meetings to resolve or escalate issues and issue weekly directions to stakeholder team managers.
  • Report weekly issues through detailed logistics dashboards.
  • Review contractor self-audit checklists covering quality, safety, environment, and welfare.

Qualifications and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or Real Estate Development.
  • More than 15 years as a sitewide logistics expert in complex, matrixed teams across multiple cultures.
  • Prior Abu Dhabi project experience in hospitality, mixed-use, or residential projects is mandatory.
  • Fluent English, reading, writing, and speaking.
  • Chartership preferred.
  • The qualifications list CSCS, SMSTS/SSSTS, a recognized current safety program, First Aid, Lifting Supervisor Certification, traffic management, and institutional membership.

Rewards and benefits

  • Benefits listed include tax-free salary, life and medical insurance, annual leave, gratuity, discretionary bonus, annual flight contribution, and transportation and housing allowances.
  • Employee wellbeing support includes access to specialists in finance, legal matters, family care, health, fitness, and nutrition.
