Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of litigation matters from inception through resolution.
- Draft and review legal pleadings, motions, notices, legal opinions, and settlement agreements.
- Represent clients before courts, tribunals, and arbitration panels where permitted.
- Develop litigation strategies and provide legal advice on dispute resolution.
- Conduct legal research and prepare case summaries and risk assessments.
- Liaise with external counsel, government authorities, and regulatory bodies.
- Review contracts and advise on potential legal risks to minimize disputes.
- Participate in negotiations, mediations, and settlement discussions.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, court procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Mentor and guide junior associates and support the legal team's professional development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Law (LLB); Master's Degree (LLM) is an advantage.
- Qualified Advocate/Solicitor with a valid practicing license where applicable.
- 7–10+ years of litigation experience in a reputable law firm or corporate legal department.
- Strong experience in civil, commercial, employment, or corporate litigation.
- Experience handling arbitration and alternative dispute resolution is preferred.
