Legal Advisory & Matter Management

• Provide high-quality legal advice to clients across UAE, Australian and UK-related matters.
• Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements, shareholder agreements, service agreements, employment contracts, settlement agreements, and other legal documents.
• Prepare court documents, pleadings, witness statements, submissions, affidavits, legal notices and supporting documentation.
• Assist with litigation, arbitration, DIFC Court proceedings and dispute resolution matters.
• Conduct detailed legal research and prepare legal memoranda, opinions and briefing notes.
• Manage files and matters from inception through to completion.
• Liaise directly with clients, courts, regulators, government authorities and external counsel.

Leadership & Supervision

• Supervise and mentor junior lawyers, trainees and paralegals.
• Review legal drafting and ensure consistent quality standards across the firm.
• Assist in developing legal precedents, templates and knowledge management resources.
• Deliver internal legal training and professional development sessions.

Partner Support

• Work closely with partners on strategic legal matters and client engagements.
• Attend client meetings and assist with business development initiatives.
• Support the firm's expansion across UAE, Australia and the UK.
• Contribute to operational and practice management initiatives.

Group Legal Support

• Provide legal support to companies within the wider Altara Group.
• Assist with governance, compliance, risk management and commercial matters.
• Coordinate with international advisors and external legal counsel where required.

Requirements

• Qualified lawyer admitted in the UAE, England & Wales, Australia or another recognised common law jurisdiction.
• Minimum 8 years post-qualification experience.
• Strong law firm experience preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in legal drafting, litigation support, commercial transactions and client advisory work.
• Experience preparing court documents and managing legal matters independently.
• Proven ability to supervise and mentor junior legal professionals.
• Excellent legal research, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities.

Highly Desirable

• Experience across UAE law and either Australian or UK legal systems.
• Experience in DIFC and ADGM matters.
• Corporate, commercial, dispute resolution, employment or property law experience.
• Existing professional network or business development capability.
• Experience working with international clients and cross-border matters.
