Hiring senior, lead, or staff backend engineers for a 12-month role in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
Work arrangement is onsite in Abu Dhabi; applicants must already be based in the UAE.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services, APIs, and distributed systems.
- Build secure, high-performance microservices using Python, Java, or Go.
- Own solutions from design and development through deployment and production operations.
- Integrate LLMs, RAG, generative AI, and agent-based capabilities into enterprise applications.
- Implement caching, messaging, asynchronous processing, observability, and reliability practices.
- Lead technical design discussions, code reviews, and engineering best practices.
Requirements
- Senior engineers: 6–8 years of backend engineering experience.
- Lead or staff engineers: 10+ years of backend engineering experience with strong architectural ownership.
- Strong programming experience in Python, Java, or Go; experience with microservices, REST APIs, and distributed systems.
- Experience developing and operating production-grade enterprise applications.
- Familiarity with LLMs, RAG, generative AI, or AI-powered applications.
- Strong understanding of scalability, security, performance, and system design.
- Must currently be based in the UAE.
