Role overview

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Java applications and REST APIs using clean code principles and design patterns.
• Write unit tests with JUnit and Mockito, apply test-driven development, and strengthen test coverage and regression prevention.
• Champion code quality through reviews, pair programming, standards, and refactoring.
• Integrate automated tests, static analysis, and quality gates into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as SonarQube and JaCoCo.
• Collaborate across engineering and delivery teams to build secure, reliable solutions and diagnose technical, performance, and reliability issues.
• Apply information security requirements and evaluate AI-assisted development and test-generation technologies.

Required qualifications

• At least five years of Java software development experience across the full application development lifecycle.
• Strong core Java knowledge, including collections, concurrency, generics, streams, lambdas, exception handling, and JVM memory management.
• Hands-on JUnit and Mockito testing experience and a strong understanding of test-driven development and test automation.
• Experience with code quality practices, SonarQube, JaCoCo, REST APIs, microservices, Spring or Spring Boot, build tools, source control, and CI/CD.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and technical documentation skills; ability to work in a cross-functional Agile environment.
