Full-time Java Lead role in Toronto, Ontario; the posting specifies onsite work.
The lead will provide technical leadership while designing and delivering scalable enterprise applications, APIs and microservices.
Key responsibilities
- Lead design, development and delivery of scalable enterprise applications.
- Develop with Java, Spring Boot, Python, REST APIs and microservices; design API and microservice integrations.
- Provide technical leadership, conduct code reviews, mentor teams and drive engineering best practices.
- Work with SQL and NoSQL databases and collaborate with business, architecture, QA and DevOps teams.
- Improve application performance, security and scalability; support CI/CD adoption, cloud integration and production activities.
- Participate in Agile development and delivery processes.
Required skills and experience
- At least 12 years of software development experience.
- Strong expertise in Java and Python; hands-on Spring Boot and microservices experience; strong REST API knowledge.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, technical leadership and team mentoring.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD, cloud integration, security and application performance.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
